Vintage 2019

Friday 2nd August, 2019

Ripening has started in Château Beychevelle’s vineyard, with the help of some rainfall, very welcome after a heat wave.

Only a few weeks left until the harvest is starting!

2018 vintage racking

After 2017 vintage bottling, our team are back to work on the 2018 vintage with rackings of the barrels in our new cellar. Racking allows us to leave out the sediments in the barrels during the ageing.

Blending Vintage 2018

Philippe Blanc, General Manager, and his technical team are tasting together a few samples to create the blending of the soon-to-be Château Beychevelle 2018. Helping them is Eric Boissenot on this important exercise.

Château Beychevelle’s land

Château Beychevelle is a 250ha property, composed not only of vines but also of meadows and forests.

Since about two years already, the Château’s park has welcomed three bee hives. Because of our bees, we have been getting honey several time during the years.

And as for the non cultivated land, we use them to raise our beautiful limousine cows.
